Looks like the problem may have to do with the content type on the browser- side of things, at least in the sense that if we are explicit about the encoding type the problem may go away.
Of course the tricky part is that this is somewhat hard to test scientifically without rebuilding the entire index. I’m not planning to do that just yet, because I think an email with a couple double-spaced sentences should get us close. Alternatively I could re-send the previous post since it showed up wrong.
